Top of the Grill Salsa

The perfect American salsa to accompany your British burger


Serves: 6
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes


  • Heavy duty foil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 large quartered tomatoes
  • 1/3 roughly chopped onion
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons lime
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • (Chefs Additional Options; garlic, basil, chilies, tomatillos)
Cooking method
  • On a large piece of foil, wrap tomato, onion and jalapeno
  • Roast on grill for 5-10 minutes or longer until onion begins to blacken.
  • Add the above to a blender
  • Puree with cilantro and lime juice, season to taste
